    I would have sprayed some wd40 on the remaining thread first and then cleaned up the bolts / threads spray again before replacing them, support the car properly then use your jack to raise the lower arm, as for torque settings if you can find them! be hard to use a big torque wrench underneath on the floor! and long extensions at the top. (25 years experience speaking).

    This video makes it look like a walk in the park. The problem that most DIYers is that the lower securing bolt faces inwards. Having a breaker bar (necessary because of the high tourque needed, plus the bolt will be rusted up) is useless because of the limited access if the car is on axle stands. If the bolt faced outwards access would be a lot easier. Seems the only thing that would remove the bolt would be an impact wrench.

      autodoc don't believe in using correct torque! windy guns should never be used to tighten wheel nuts or suspension bolts. Stripped castings just mean more chargeable hours I guess.

    Hi. There is also one other type shocks on the VectraC 2008 modell. That`s Self adjusting shocks. Any idea where to find shocks like that.?

      The red jack is for lifting the rear hub slightly, so it won't drop after removing the shock absorber.
